Adelaide University has a strong reputation in the SAASL Division 1 league of fielding strong competitive young teams, and have previously won the league in 2002. 2008 looks like a strong year with many new talented players coming through the ranks from the championship winning 2008 reserves team,as well as new recruits, and under the insctructions of Argentinian samba maestro Javier Victorica and his assistants Danny Arveloa and Mike Dodd, the future looks bright for the AUSC Blacks.
